Privacy Policy

Kountx ("the app", "we", "us") is an offline-first inventory and stock organization application. It operates entirely offline: there are no accounts, no remote servers, and no cloud sync. Every piece of data you enter is written exclusively to your device's local storage and never transmitted to us.

The app does display advertisements served by Google AdMob, which may collect limited device information as described in Section 4.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android version of Kountx. By installing and using the app you agree to the terms described here.

All data is stored locally using SQLite via Drizzle ORM and never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself. The app stores the following categories of information:

Kountx itself does not collect, transmit, or share your local app data. In particular, the app does not:

• Send your inventory or contact data to any server.
• Use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs (for example Firebase Analytics or Google Analytics).
• Require a user account or login of any kind.
• Access your contacts, location, microphone, camera, or device sensors not listed in this policy.
• Track your in-app usage patterns for our own purposes.

Note: the third-party advertising SDK (Google AdMob) may collect limited device information for ad delivery and fraud prevention. See Section 4 for additional details.

Kountx displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob is a third-party advertising service and operates under its own privacy policy.

Through AdMob, Google may collect and use limited information from your device including:

• Advertising ID (GAID) — a resettable Android advertising identifier used to deliver and measure advertisements.
• IP address — used for approximate regional information and fraud prevention.
• Device information — device model, operating system version, and app version used for compatibility and security purposes.
• Ad interaction data — whether an advertisement was viewed or tapped.

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. We do not receive or store this information ourselves. Google's privacy policy is available at: policies.google.com/privacy .

Opting out of personalized ads: You can reset or disable ad personalization at any time in your Android device settings under Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads, depending on Android version).

Kountx requests only the permissions required for core functionality:

No other permissions are requested. You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.

Kountx protects your local data with a two-layer security model:

• 4-digit PIN — stored as a hashed value, never as plain text.
• Biometric authentication — Face ID or fingerprint authentication managed entirely by the operating system.

Because the app is offline-first, there is no remote cloud infrastructure connected to your local data.

You maintain full control over your local data. The app includes backup and restore functionality that allows you to:

• Export your local database as a backup file to a location you choose on your device.
• Restore from a previously exported backup file at any time.
• Delete all local app data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the application.

We do not keep copies of your data. Removing the app deletes all local information stored by it.

Kountx is intended for general productivity and inventory organization use. The app is not directed toward children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If the app's privacy practices change in a future version, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will change accordingly.

Continued use of the app after updates to this policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
